Umm.. DigiCharat is another crack-anime which can be a bit weird for some... :-D
I guess this all depends on your interpretation of weird? -

Just got through watching the first volume. It is funnier than the covers would have you believe. Even the American voice acting is good.
The "super magic weapon" used against the "Dark Lord" (who looks like the final boss in Secret of Mana) is in a word. . .genius.
Oh and watch the scene in the third episode where the "Space Cops" are introduced. Check out what that Man/Woman is doing.
Never heard of Wicked City. Will have to check that out and beg for the final dvds of ABENOBASHI. -

Not only was it fairly weird, DL was so fast & furious I had to shut off the subtitles just to keep up with the story. -

Wed, October 20, 2004 - 2:09 PMI watched dead leaves for free on the day of release. Manga streamed it on the day of release for promotional stuff. Its pretty much non stop action the whole way.

not really, but to tell you the truth, that wasn't all that weird compared to the actual Asian inspirations (not all of those images were Japanese as evidenced by the Korean writing) and slightly racist...

Azumanga Daioh is nonsensical/no-plot weird in a good way
but "Puni Puni Poemi" is the weirdest I have seen. It parodies all anime stereotypes in one two-part OVA. It's just insane.

Azumanga Daioh kills me.. that weird dream sequence where the girl gets new pigtails for xmas and pops off her existing ones.. HA. Lain starts weird and gets weirder but a must watch for any anime fan. FLCL .. weird but amazing at the same time.
